The Eye and Magnifying Glass Part I
Step 1. Investigate the items provided to your group( marbles, pencils, money, coins,erasers, blocks, books, and glassware) using only your eyes. Then draw what you see when the objects are near, middle , and far away distances.
Step 2. Continue your investigation of the same objects but now you must use a magnifying glass. Then draw the objects again from near, middle, and far away distances.
Step 3. Respond to the following questions in your science journal:
- Are your two sets of drawings the same or different? If they are different, in what way?
- How did the magnifying glass affect your vision?
- How might people use magnifying glasses in real life?
- What other tools do you know that help people use their senses and bodies better?
